Sherwood Helping Hands

Feeds an average of 80 families every month.

During the Holiday Season, handed out 348 turkeys and hams to families in need.

Volunteers sponsored 348 families & children during the Holiday Season.

Has 25 committed volunteers that help support our local families.

Volunteers commit over 145 hours each month to lending a helping hand to those in need.

Has helped the following food banks become established in their community:

• John Day Methodist Church

• Cornelius Methodist Church

• Tigard Covenant Church

Can Food Drives

     Local schools have helped to bring in over 25,000 pounds of food during their annual food drives.

 

Give N’ Gobble

     Give N’ Gobble is a walk/run that takes place on Thanksgiving morning which is organized by Chairman, Cindy Aggsen. All proceeds go to the Sherwood Helping Hands, and help to purchase the fresh food items that are given to families in need. This November will be the third annual Give N’ Gobble to support Sherwood Helping Hands.  For more information go to their website at www.givengobble.com.
